A Guide to Camping with Whispering Waters

  • VEHICLES:
    As a courtesy to other campers, please minimize vehicle trips after 11:00pm The speed limit is 10 MPH. Remember, children are playing. Bicycles must stay on the roads and observe the speed limit. Riders should wear helmets at all times. 2 cars per site, any guests should park in overflow parking.
  • GOLF CARTS:
    Must provide Proof of Insurance at time of registration at the camp office with Whispering Waters Campground listed on the policy. No one under 18 years of age is to operate carts. Hours of use are from 9:00AM to 9:00PM. The speed limit of 10 MPH is strictly enforced! Follow all parking restrictions for carts.
  • ALCOHOL:
    Please keep in mind that this is a family campground. Profanity, excessive noise and drunkenness will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave without a refund.
  • QUIET HOURS:
    Please be courteous to your neighbors by observing the quiet hours between 11:00PM and 7:00AM.
  • PICNIC TABLES:
    We don’t object to picnic tables being moved for eating with other campers. Please return the tables to before departing.
  • CAMPFIRES:
    Please confine fires to the fire ring. Do not move firerings without speaking to staff. Fires should be attended at all times. Please remember to put your fire out completely. Please help those with allergies by not burning garbage.
  • HOLDING TANKS:
    These may be discharged at the dump station. Do not allow waste water to flow on your site or anywhere in the park.
  • CHILDREN:
    Know where your children are at all times. Remember, children under the age of 14 must have adult supervision when at the river, pool, or playground. Children can not be left unattended at the campground.
  • GARBAGE:
    Please put all garbage in plastic bags and deposit them in the dumpster. Please breakdown cardboard boxes before putting in dumpster to ensure there is enough room for everyones garbage.
  • LIGHTS:
    All site lighting shall be turned off nightly. Blinking lights shall be permitted for holiday decorations only.
  • Firewood:
    No outside firewood is permitted. Firewood can be purchased for $25 for a load.  Please either contact Matt by calling or texting the campground phone number, or filling out the ledger book. Please help us protect our natural resources by not cutting, nailing or defacing any trees or shrubs.
  • WiFi:
    We have WiFi available at the store and main porch only. We have strong service for most cell phone, wireless internet, hotspot, and satiliate internet providers for individual campers purchase and use.

Rules & Regulations

  • WOOD
    The Campground has firewood for sale. Please help us protect our natural resources by not cutting, nailing or defacing any trees or shrubs. (Please see important information about firewood on the home page of this Website).

Pet Policy

  • Pets may never be left alone on the campsite.
  • Pets must be kept on a leash at all times. Children must be large enough to walk their animal under control.
  • Pets should not defecate on the campsite.
  • Digging is never allowed.
  • Continous barking and other loud noises will result in being asked to leave without refund to owner
  • Pets may never be left alone or tied up to trees, shrubbery, or water risers, and must be on a SHORT rope, chain, or leash (not on other people’s camp sites or able to reach roadway.)
  • Any person or child, who has the dog off site, should be aware of all rules and able to control the animal at all times and in all situations, including picking up pet droppings!
  • Pit bulls, Rottweilers, wolf mixes, or any other dogs which may have aggressive behavior towards non-family members are never allowed in the campground.
  • Dogs that are aggressive will be promptly evicted from the campground. Pet owners will not be entitled to any refund. If you aren’t sure that you or your pet can adhere to these rules, please leave your pet at home.
  • Pets are not permitted to be left outside overnight or while campers are not at their site.
  • PLEASE PICK UP PET DROPPINGS, PUT IN A PLASTIC BAG, AND DEPOSIT IN THE DUMPSTER. (Even from dog walk area, other people walk there too) DO NOT PUT DOG DROPPINGS IN FIRE RINGS OR OTHER INAPPROPRIATE PLACES.

Guests of Seasonal Campers

  • Overnight guests must be registered at the office, no exceptions
  • Listed campers are responsible for guests following all park rules and not impacting other
    campers’ experience.
  • All guests are welcome to visit for free during daytime hours.
  • No guests are allowed to be at the campground if the listed campers are not present.
  • Per state regulation, a maximum of 8 people are allowed to stay on a site.
  • Guests that are children (18 and under) are welcome to stay in a tent or in a camper on
    your site without fee or limit.
  • Guests of campers can pay directly to the campground, or fees can be added to monthly
    bills of the registered camper.

Overnight adult guests have 3 options

  • Rent a tent site for $30 a night (as available)
  • Rent an RV site for $60 a night (as available)
  • Up to 2 adult guests can stay in your camper for a fee of $15 per night per person for a max of 15 nights per season. We have a signup sheet in the office binder to schedule and sign in guests.

Cancellation & Payment

  • SEASONAL Campers:
    Deposit of $600 has a $300 cancellation fee from October 1-Janurary 1. Deposit is non-refundable from Janurary 1 through the camp season. Guests may receive a refund of 50% seasonal fee if they leave before June 1. after June 1 seasonal fee is non refundable. Deposit of $600 for the next season includes winter storage. Deposit are due at the end of the current camping season to hold your site for the next year
  • NIGHTLY, WEEKLY AND MONTHLY Campers:
    Deposit of half of reservation fee is due upon reservation confirmation. Weekly and nightly camping deposits are refundable up to 1 month before your stay. If you rebook at the time of cancelation you may apply your deposit for one reservation, after that it is forfeited. Monthly deposits are non refundable.
  • PAYMENTS:
    All seasonal rents are due by May 1. May – August monthly bills are due by the 15th, and sent via email on the 1st of each month. September and Ocotber bills will be sent the Monday atfer closing are due within 2 weeks of of closing. All electrical used over the winer will be on the following years May bill. We accept cash, checks or Zelle Payment. These can be handed to Matt or Shelly or dropped in the blue payment box in the store.
